ISIL Forces Fighters to Use Drugs, Hallucinations Pills

Wed May 04, 2016

TEHRAN (FNA) – The commander of Iraqi popular mobilization forces in Anbar Province said that postmortem checks on ISIL terrorists’ dead bodies have revealed that the terrorist group probably forced its members to use drugs and hallucination pills in the city of Fallujah in Western Anbar province.

The commander of al-Hashed al-Sha’abi’s Fallujah brigade, Khamis Bahr Halbusi, said in a press statement that “the dissections of ISIL fighters corpses has shown a level of toxic materials in the bodies, which indicate the group possibly forced militants to use drugs and hallucinations pills in Fallujah, al-Karma district and some areas in Saqlawiyah, North of Fallujah,” Iraqi News reported.

“Autopsy on dead bodies of ISIL members were conducted on the bodies of fighters killed in the cleansing battles in Anbar province, especially in Fallujah,” Halbusi added,

He continued to say that “ISIL members were probably forced to use these drugs in order to be unaware of what is happening to them during the attacks,”

Previously, the commander of the Tigris Operations, General Abdul-Amir al-Zaidi reported that, ISIL forces its elements to use specific drugs in order to control them, pointing out that the suicide bombers are receiving three doses of drugs before carrying out operations.

Al-Zaidi added “We have confirmed information that ISIL forces its elements to use specific types of drugs in order to increase addiction to get them under control and push them into the abyss of death,” noting that, “most of ISIL dead in battles were found in possession of pills and narcotic drugs.”

Islamic Preacher BANS Text Emojis for Muslims Because They Are Blasphemous

May 04, 2016

An Islamic preacher has warned fellow Muslims not to use certain emojis on messaging apps because they are blasphemous.

Saudi-based preacher Wajdi Akkari, 36, said it was ‘Haram’ – or forbidden – for Muslims to use the angel, ‘anything devilish’ or even the prayer symbol.

In a video seen by MailOnline, a very animated Akkari told his audience: ‘You have to be selective in these emojis. Not everything is Halal [permissible] to share.’

The Lebanon-born preacher moved to the United States and joined a rap group when he was 18.

He later relocated his wife and children to Saudi Arabia where he teaches Arabic, delivers Friday prayers and holds lectures in some hospitals.

In a video shared by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), he said the angel with a halo was a Christian interpretation of the entity and therefore ‘haram’.

He added: ‘When someone wants to share their innocence or say, “I’m a good boy”, they send that yellow smiley face with a halo. No!

‘Do we believe that angels in Islam are like the angels in Christianity… Absolutely not.’

Akkari, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Islamic Studies and now lectures in Saudi Arabia, claimed using any ‘devilish’ emojis are also out of bounds for Muslims.

He said: ‘We don’t know what Satan and the devil look like. Therefore, we are not allowed to draw him.

‘These emojis that are devilish in their nature are not allowed, even if you are trying to say that “you are being a bad boy or a bad girl”.’

Akkari also took issue with the ‘prayer’ emoji. Pressing both palms together, he said: ‘This one – many people send it as a prayer and this is, again, used among Buddhists and Christians.

‘In Islam, how do you make Du’a [prayer]? You have your hands facing heaven like this… Maybe they do it in karate or something too.’

He then invited his audience to fact check what he was telling them on Google, saying it was ‘halal’ to do.

Finally, he introduced the ‘devil hands’ hand gesture once used by revellers at heavy metal concerts.

He demonstrated the gesture and asked: ‘Do you know this one? This is also a symbol of the devil. These are the two horns of Satan.

‘This is one of the hand symbols on WhatsApp. People don’t know what it means. They just send it. You cannot send this one.’

In 2011, Akkari extraordinarily claimed that saying ‘Merry Christmas’ was worse than ‘killing someone’, ‘fornication’ and ‘drinking alcohol’.

He said in the YouTube video: ‘It is the concept that God was born on the 25th of December. That’s as polytheistic and heretic as you can get.’

On his website, ‘One way to paradise’, Akkari credits Islam for saving him from a life of self destruction and ‘humiliation’.

As a young man in America, he joined an rap group called ‘Scums of the Earth’ with whom he ‘got into all kinds of Hollywood-like situations’.

He wrote: ‘I suffered a lot for 5 years internally even though externally I appeared to be living a lavish life and enjoying myself.’

Pakistan oppose military action against Afghan Taliban leaders in its soil

Wed May 04 2016

Sartaj AzizThe Pakistani authorities have opposed military action against the Afghan Taliban leaders days after President Ghani called on Islamabad to take actions against the group’s leaderships based in Peshawar and Quetta cities.

The country’s foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz has said such a policy had not brought results for 14 long years.

“Afghanistan has been insisting that if the peace negotiations do not start, then other option should be tried. But that option has been used for 14 years but it has not produced any result,” he said.

President Ghani ordered the Afghan security institutions to start crackdown against the Taliban groups pursuing violence and asked Islamabad to take actions against the sanctuaries of the groups in its soil.

The remarks by President Ghani followed a deadly attack in capital Kabul on a VIP protection unit which left at least 64 people dead and 347 others wounded.

In his remarks to announce the government’s stance towards peace efforts and fight against terrorism, President Ghani also added that Kabul expect Pakistan to bring the Taliban to the negotiation table”.

However, Aziz said “Results cannot be achieved in weeks but it takes time. I do not see any other option to bring peace to Afghanistan.”

The remarks by Aziz comes as a Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) comprising of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and United States representatives was formed to revive the stalled Afghan peace talks.

However, the Taliban group rejected the proposed direct peace talks and announced their spring offensive earlier last month.

Saudi IS members killing their own relatives

Nov. 3, 2014

The Islamic State’s (IS) influence has penetrated Saudi Arabia so successfully via social media that some Saudi youth are being persuaded to kill soldiers and police, even when they are family members.

Salafists — ultraconservative Muslims — believe in the concepts of al-wala wal-bara, which some scholars interpret as loyalty to all that is Islamic and disavowal of everything not considered Islamic. They believe these concepts are a main pillar of monotheism and the basis of Islam and are an expression of the love of God. IS is often said to adhere to “Salafi jihadism.”

Much like al-Qaeda, IS accuses Saudi Arabia of being an infidel country and describes its rulers as tyrants, apostates and being loyal to the Crusaders. Both organizations believe Saudi soldiers in the army and security services are killing the mujahedeen, or holy warriors, and are just as much infidels as the country’s rulers.

India Rebuts US Charges of Deteriorating Religious Freedom

May 04, 2016

India has strongly rebutted charges by a U.S. Commission that religious freedom is on a “negative trajectory” in the country.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) recently released a report saying “religious tolerance deteriorated and religious freedom violations increased in India” in 2015.

India’s Foreign Ministry said it would take no notice of the report, which it said “fails to show a proper understanding of India, its society and its constitution.”

“India is a vibrant pluralistic society founded on strong democratic principles. The Indian Constitution guarantees fundamental rights to all its citizens including the right to freedom of religion,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Vikas Swarup.

India exerting diplomatic pressure to ban Masood Azhar: Govt

May 4, 2016

NEW DELHI: With China blocking India’s bid at the United Nations to proscribe Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, government on Wednesday said it is exerting diplomatic pressure to remove the “technical hold” and get a ban imposed on him.

Minister of state for external affairs V K Singh told the Lok Sabha that India has also told China that there cannot be selective approach when it comes to terrorism.

Last month, China had blocked India’s bid at the UN to ban Azhar, the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief and mastermind of the Pathankot terror attack.

During Question Hour, Singh said the move to ban Azhar is on “technical hold” at the UN. “Hum zor dal rahe hai (we are putting pressure)” through diplomatic channels to ensure that it is done away with, he noted.

China is among the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and has veto powers. The others are France, Russian Federation, the UK, and the US.

The UN had banned the JeM but India’s efforts for a ban on Azhar after the 2008 Mumbai terror attack also did not fructify as China did not allow the ban.

UK’s covert propaganda bid to stop Muslims joining Isis

May 02, 2016

The UK government has embarked on a series of clandestine propaganda campaigns intended to bring about “attitudinal and behavioural change” among young British Muslims as part of a counter-radicalisation programme.

In a sign of mounting anxiety across Whitehall over the persuasiveness of Islamic State’s online propaganda, a secretive Home Office unit has developed a discreet multimillion pound counter-messaging operation that it says privately is running at “industrial pace and scale”.

However, the methods of the Research, Information and Communications Unit (Ricu), which often conceal the government’s role, will dismay some Muslims and may undermine confidence in the Prevent counter-radicalisation programme, which already faces widespread criticism.

Muslim Clerics Jailed For Recruiting ISIS Jihadis by Albanian Court

EU plans to fine countries that refuse to take Muslim migrants / refugees

May 03, 2016

The European Union is finalizing new rules, adopted by bureaucrats, not the EU parliament, that would establish fines for European countries which refuse to take the Muslim migrants / refugees that are flooding into Europe. This in spite of the rash of sexual assaults perpetrated by those migrants and the involvement of some of them in terrorism. The proposed fine in 250,000 euros per migrant.

Already in some eastern European countries the EU is being referred to as the ”EUSSR” making an analogy between the eurocrats and the old Soviet Union. A number of eastern European governments including Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic have drawn a line in the sand against taking any migrants. Hungary has called a referendum to let its people speak on the issue.

After the British vote to leave the EU, there may be other countries lining up to also take that path.

Carter, allies mull war effort against Islamic State

May 04, 2016

STUTTGART, Germany — Defense Secretary Ash Carter began talks here Wednesday with members of the U.S.-led coalition in Iraq and Syria, as defense ministers examine ways to bolster the military campaign against the Islamic State group as well as terror threats facing Europe.

The meeting, at U.S. European Command headquarters, also is expected to look at the threat the Islamic State now poses in Libya, where the group has gained a foothold. Libya has been a failed state with multiple governments since 2011, when NATO’s military intervention ousted the regime of former strongman Moammar Gadhafi.

Allies, such as Italy, have pressed for more direct involvement in Libya, where unrest is contributing to a migrant crisis in Europe. During a news conference in Stuttgart on Tuesday, Carter said more direct, expansive involvement in Libya would have to be at the invitation of the still fragile government there.

Anti-Muslim Acts Triple in France in 2015

Wed May 04, 2016

TEHRAN (FNA)- Anti-Muslim acts in France tripled in 2015, with peaks in activity coming after two sets of deadly terror attacks, a government advisory commission said.

A total of 429 anti-Muslim threats or hate crimes were reported last year, up from 133 in 2014, according to a report from France’s National Human Rights Commission (CNCDH), Agence France-Presse reported.

Overall, complaints of hate threats or crimes saw a “consequential increase” of just over 22 percent to 2,034 in 2015, the commission noted in its annual report on the fight against racism, anti-Semitism and xenophobia.

Two “peaks” in abuse came after attacks on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in January 2015 and a subsequent terrorist assault in November that killed 130 people in Paris, said CNCDH president Christine Lazerges.

However, anti-Semitic hate acts in France fell in 2015 to 808, a five percent drop over the previous year.

Still Lazerges pointed out that the results include only reported crimes and that the true rates are much higher.

“Day-to-day racism is much more subtle,” she said.

China Wants to Feed the World’s 1.6 Billion Muslims

May 02, 2016

It’s hard to get far in the holy cities of Mecca and Madinah without somehow consuming China. Made-in-China trinkets of questionable quality dominate the wares of the hawkers who throng Islam’s major pilgrimage sites. Chinese-brand handbags, perhaps purchased at the local Carrefour, grace the arms of lower- and middle-class women. City residents pad around their homes wearing Chinese-made slippers and Chinese-brand pajamas, and using made-in-China water boilers to brew tea they serve from made-in-China tea sets. They blow their noses with Chinese-made tissues and pray on Chinese-made rugs.

But one major domain of mass consumption in Saudi cities remains largely untouched by the bountiful reach of China’s factories: the food aisles. This is true even though Saudi Arabia imports more than 90 percent of its food products. Biscuits from Europe, cooking oil from Malaysia, and tuna from Thailand fill up shelves in Saudi supermarket and convenience store shelves alongside locally made juices and canned meat. Yet China’s space on those shelves is negligible, limited mostly to the occasional packet of halal-certified gummy candy produced by a German-owned factory in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen.

Muslim farmers in Pakistan help Catholics rebuild church

Wed May 04, 2016

In a show of generosity, Muslim farmers have contributed to the fundraising efforts of Catholics who are building a church in Khalsabad, a village, near Gojra, in Pakistan’s Punjab province.

Eight Christian families live in the village, and their mud chapel was swept away in the last monsoon rains. Given the option of praying at home, they chose to build a church and asked their neighbors for help, reported AsiaNews.

“I learned about the project in a community meeting last month,” said Dilawar Hussain, a Muslim shopkeeper. “A church is also a house of Allah; praying is what matters. We worship the same God.”

In America, 3.3 million people identify as Muslim, according to a recent Pew study. Navy SEAL Is Killed in Northern Iraq in Fight With ISIS

Nov,4, 2014

WASHINGTON — Islamic State fighters killed a member of the Navy SEALs on Tuesday after they broke through Kurdish defenses in northern Iraq, in what military officials described as the militant group’s biggest offensive in months.

Gov. Doug Ducey of Arizona identified the serviceman as Charlie Keating IV, the grandson of the Arizona financier Charles H. Keating Jr., who was imprisoned in the savings-and-loan crisis of the 1980s.

He is the third American service member to die in combat since a United States-led coalition began fighting the Islamic State in Iraq in 2014. The death was also the third such casualty in combat since the American troop withdrawal from Iraq in 2011.

He was two to three miles behind the front lines when he was killed by small-arms fire, United States military officials said. American advisers have been assisting Iraqi security forces and Kurdish pesh merga fighters as they push to reclaim territory from the Islamic State.

Turkey hits ISIL in Syria, Russia ‘concerned’

Wed May 04, 2016

As the Turkish army once again responded on May 3 to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’s (ISIL) deadly cross-border shelling of its southern province of Kilis, Moscow has expressed “concern” over Turkey’s military action in Syria.

“Russia is concerned by Turkish shelling of Syria,” Russian Foreign Minister Seregi Lavrov said after a meeting with the United Nation’s envoy on Syria in Moscow.

“The task of closing the Turkish border with Syria is becoming more urgent,” Lavrov said.

Six ISIL militants were killed in shelling by the Turkish army after two more rocket projectiles hit the border province of Kilis on May 3. Turkish artillery units responded to the attack by shelling ISIL positions and firing multiple rocket launchers after unmanned aerial vehicles spotted where the rockets were fired – the Bab region of Syria, which ISIL currently controls.

Militants were killed and two Katyusha rocket positions were destroyed, according to the Turkish army.

Israel’s Temple Mount Policy Faces Renewed Questions After Latest Tensions

May 03, 2016

As both the holiest site in Judaism and home to a 1,400-year-old mosque, Jerusalem’s Temple Mount compound is a natural flashpoint of Jewish-Muslim tension. But the conflict over the holy site has been particularly heated over the past year, with the latest incidents coming during the recent Passover holiday.

In late April, a group of Muslims were removed from the Temple Mount for chanting “Allahu akbar” (“God is greater”) at nearly 1,000 Jewish and Christian visitors who had ascended the site during the Passover holiday. Prior to that incident, 13 Jews were removed from the Temple Mount for illegally praying at the site.

Following those incidents, Jordan’s government warned of “serious consequences” for Israel over what it has described as “the invasion of settler groups and Israeli occupying forces in the Al-Aqsa mosque.”

The world’s first Islamic venture capital fund will take shape at the end of this month, with Malaysia taking the lead. US embassy asked to refrain from using ‘Rohingya’: official

May 04, 2016

The move follows increasing dissent from nationalist protesters after the US embassy released a statement expressing condolences for victims of a boat sinking accident who were reported to be Rohingya.

Nationalists swarmed the US embassy in an unauthorised march along University Avenue Road on April 28. The nationalist activists and monks, backed by Ma Ba Tha – or the Committee to Protect Race and Religion as it is formally called in English – demanded the embassy retract the statement and accused the US of interfering with Myanmar affairs.

Rohingya are not recognised as among the 135 official ethnic groups and are referred to as “Bengalis” by those who do not support their right to self-identification.

In a statement released on May 2, Ma Ba Tha encouraged people to ignore the US embassy statement, and treat the country as if it had broken diplomatic ties with Myanmar. The term “Rohingya” is “fake” and those who use it violate the sovereignty of the state, the statement said.
