Pope Francis Tries His Hand at Vlogging to Promote Interfaith Peace
When Pope Francis cares deeply about something, it shows.
On Wednesday, Francis launched a monthly video prayer series with an emotional call for peace between people of different faiths.
“Many think differently, feel differently, seeking God or meeting God in different ways,” the pontiff said. “We are all children of God.”
Francis, like other pope’s before him, has long shared monthly prayers with the world, but never before via video. His prayer for January, he said, is “that sincere dialogue among men and women of different faiths may produce the fruits of peace and justice.” Buddhist, Jewish, Muslim and Christian faiths are represented in the video.
